If a magic genie floated out of my tea mug this morning and offered me three wishes, I’d love to say I’d be clever. But let’s be real. Here’s what I’d ask for—no filters, no pretending.
Wish One: Rewrite the Story
I wish we could go back to November 2024, undo the election fraud and tampering, and see what would happen if honesty actually won. If we woke up in a country where the people’s voice meant something, where the future didn’t feel like a locked room. Would we still be fighting the same battles? Would we be less afraid, less tired? I wish I could see that timeline, just for a day.
Wish Two: Freedom With Roots
If I’m being selfish, I’d wish for a good hybrid trawler—something sturdy, safe, big enough for a life between Chesapeake Bay and Cape Cod Bay, with stops for the people I love. No lottery yachts, just a well-loved liveaboard boat. Reliable, practical, and built to last. (If the genie throws in a dependable car, I won’t argue.)
Wish Three: Lay Down My Burdens
For my last wish, I’d ask to release the old traumas that replay in my mind. Not to erase the past—just to set down the weight and keep the strength. To forget the pain, but hold onto the lessons. Imagine waking up and feeling light, not haunted.
If there’s any genie juice left over, I’ll take a lifetime supply of hot coffee, endless garlic bread, and a world where we all get a little more room to breathe.
What about you? If a genie landed in your lap today, what would you wish for? Drop your wildest, softest, or most honest wishes below. No shame, no rules. Just dreaming out loud.
