Pantry Psalm: The Gospel According to Garlic Bread

And lo, the angels of the heavens looked upon the meek and lowly bread of loaf. They declared through song and shimmering rays of light that thine loaf, and all loaves of higher vibrational calling hereafter, shall be clothed.

The nakedness of the other loaves be not shameful, and suitable for other matters and toppings. But the divine loaves shall be adorned.

Clothed in the purest salted butter, consecrated by fire.
Anointed with the most flavorful of garlic cloves, crushed by the feet of the gods.
Blessed with the holy trinity of Parmesan, mozzarella, and pecorino, forever and ever.

May the herbs of parsley, basil, oregano, and thyme descend like blessings from the skies, resting upon the golden crust of sacred carbohydrate.

The Lady, our Goddess, hath seen our works and our joy, and in the bread blessed with garlic, cheese, butter, and herbs, She professes it good and holy and right for consumption on the holiest of days:

Spaghetti Saturday.

Let every plate be filled and every stomach be satisfied.
Let the faithful never forget to wrap their leftover bread in foil, that it may be resurrected again in the toaster oven.

We bow our heads.
We raise our hands to the sky.
And we repeat:

Taymen.
