A Dreamscape Benediction for August

At the threshold of midnight, we open the door to August.

The final blush of summer. The ache of something beautiful that was never ours. The salt on our fingertips from reaching too far. The restlessness that clings like humidity.

August is not always gentle. It is vivid, sharp, and saturated. It is the month of blackberries—thorny and tenacious, sweet and wild. They grow where they please, feed who they choose, and survive in ditches and roadsides alike. The witches say they are a force, not a fruit. That they guard what matters, hold ground, and remind us how sweetness and pain often share the same skin.

In the Dreamspace, August is the month of the spark.

It was never supposed to be ours. It wasn’t evergreen. But we dreamed anyway.

And now, here we are. Dreaming out loud. Writing it down. Building something that will last.

So let us bless the bramble. Let us thank the stinging heat and the wilting leaves. Let us hold this month for what it is: a last inhale of gold before the light shifts. A heartbeat. A promise. A memory not yet faded.

To those who came looking for love and found longing instead—August knows your name. To those building something fragile and holy in the face of doubt—August is with you. To those who lived in a moment that passed too fast, who carry beauty in their grief, who dare to hope again anyway:

You are the story. You are the lantern. You are the flame.

May your thorns protect you. May your sweetness endure. May your Dreamspace grow tall, rooted deep.

~

Tonight, we honor the turning. We press play on Taylor Swift’s “august” and let the memories rise. We feel the rush and the ache. We remember what mattered, even if it never stayed.

We are living for the hope of it all.
